The Weeknd; the Most Happened as well as Happening artist at the end of the Decade(2020).I've been listening to his Music since few years and surprisingly from the day i started listening to Weeknd's Music i didn't tried or even i didn't feel like to listening other artists even though there's a lot of  amazing artists releasing many amazing Albums/Singles.I do got foot tapping Tracks from different artists in my playlist,Yet I can't get detached to

the Music made by The Weeknd.

Things that fascinated me about The Weeknd's Music and the career he made by himself lets take a look.

Weeknd's Music :

Any One who is  hearing Musical stuff from an artist on a longer period, they are more connected to the Soul of the Music resulting in the establishment of Emotional Wavelength for what they are hearing. The Weeknd's Music represents Grey Moments, Dark Philosophies, Love, Pain and the compassion towards what he is doing. His Music from Pop, R&B to Romantic singles comprises Love, Pain and back-end Real life references makes an Instant Connection and sets you in the Resonant Frequency with his Music.

Vocals are the best part of The Weeknd's songs which brings soulfulness, On the other hand the lyrics makes it balanced. A party mood to Pain in Love, the lyrics are so powerful it grabs an instant upliftment of Overall Music. He uses his High Pitch Vocals when Transiting from one track to other track is lit AF. Blend of his Composition and Vocals takes the track to the next level.Vocal king for a reason.

I Made the below content from the love i developed to The Weeknd's Music from the day i actually started listening, In the past few years (approx. 6) i hardly can count the days where my day went without listening to his Music. Let's dive into Some amazing Stuff where you would fall for the Songs/Albums. I Comprised the best all together here.   

The Journey:

The Original Name apart from the screen name of The Weeknd is Abel Tesafy. At a very young age when he was in his High school Abel ran away from his home for 5 days with his friend and returned by the weekend to home. From this he named himself  The Weeknd. In his name "E" will be missing as there is an Existing band by that time named Weekend so to avoid the Copyrights Issues and to bring the Uniqueness "The Weeknd" Came from.Here I will address him as Abel, Basically Abel is an Canadian Singer but Born  in Ethiopia. Being brought up by his granny he is well versed with Ethiopian Language too. From Canada he started his Musical Journey, as Abel got the extending hand from Drake. Technically Drake gave a Break to Abel's Career but Abel contributed good amount of Music to the album for which they worked together and Drake got a good Chart busters. So Success claimed by him. From then Abel Started making Music for himself by releasing his First album "House Of Balloon's" and then Boom, a New name being heard. From there the journey went from being Homeless to Performing at NFL(National Football League) Super Bowl 2021. 

Abel is an Introvert, it can be clearly seen when he is infront of Press or Digital Media. 

With the same reason when he released his first album he neither showed up his face nor Identity on the Album cover or any medium. That Hair Style Abel Maintained in the early stages of his career got him attention and different kinda Identity.Once Abel said in an Interview he wants his hairstyle to be Unique as part of his Identity.

After "House of Balloon's"Then Followed by "Trilogy" and "Kissland" made him Global Artist with the best R&B Singer and Crowd Puller for his concerts and Shows with his specific fan base. After "Kissland" "Beauty behind Madness" and "STARBOY" albums bagged him International Music awards. "Earned It" song composed for Fifty shades of grey movie nominated Abel for Grammy 2015. 

Abel's Collaboration with Daft Punk left us Awe Struck Songs like "StarBoy & I Feel it coming".

Whenever he featured in a song with other artists Abel left his mark in making the singles Instant Hits in all the Streaming Platforms.  

He shared music with Unexceptional Super stars like Drake,Kendrik Lamar, Wiz, Travis Scott, Nicky Minaj, Ariana Grande and many others. I am mentioning only few.

The Weeknd really got MJ Vibe, You can witness the traces in "Valerie & I cant feel my Face" Tracks.

Later we got "My dear Melancholy" and "After Hours" Albums, Each song in the "MDM" will give you an Eargasm. Coming to the After Hours we witnessed the massive destruction he made in the 2020 with releasing his first single Heartless and followed by Blinding Lights. After Hours is an Raw Gem yet I like "TRILOGY" (My Musical preference).

 

Relationships:

Abel had relation with Bella Hadid and they were together about 2 to 3 years from 2015 to 2017.Later they separeated and in 2018 Weeknd and Selena Gomez came into Relation. As Days Went Weeknd and Selena got quite serious on their relationship as once selena had kidney related Health issue and Weeknd was about to give one if replacement required.Very right after they got broke up, Weeknd released "Call Out My Name" Track symbolizing Selena taking Some references into consideration.In one of the Lyric Weeknd wrote "I almost cut a piece of Myself for your life" emphasizing how much he cared about Selena.

My main Focus & Concern is about the Music he made and i am least Interested in these relationship topics in general,so lets get back to our main content - deeper into the Ocean of Musical Magic.

Transitions :

One more reason that makes Abel's Live Concerts to set the stage on fire are the Transitions between One song to Another Song. The smoothest way of sliding between the songs makes the crowd go Crazy.

A good artist makes the Tour more successful when he knows how to line up the songs according to the Story he wants to tell through the Album. A good Transition happens when you don't even sense when the song slides. Ofcourse Binge Listeners to that particular artists enjoys even more. The Work he done in the Lock down Period for "After Hours" Album resulted Blinding Lights all time being top for straight 30 days  in Spotify and Other Music Stations. The Weeknd got Featured in Mercedes Benz Ad with his all time Biggest Hit Blinding Lights. I heard Blinding Lights when the Ad released like around 2 Months before the Official Blinding Lights track released and i truly felt this song is going to be the Craziest Hit setting all the trends at peak. The Ad concept promoting the Electric Vehicle from Mercedes Benz is a good one for giving a watch.

Like i was mentioning above much before the Official track released i felt something bigger craziest and Dope work is going to drop by The Weeknd.

I still remember, the time In India it's 11:30 PM around i don't remember the date exactly the Official video song of the Blinding Lights Streamed for the first time for few minutes, the video doesn't got my Interest at that moment, After 2 days it got released and once i watched peacefully for 2-3 times, yeah that's the freaking thing we expect from him.

For me Blinding Lights is Joy, a celebration and an Adrenaline. The music, the vocals, The composition everything fallen at a place in a right momentum. Blinding lights is an immediate Happy pill which can be taken if you're feeling Low or Sad.I can't say anything above than this. Just listen and Enjoy the Vibe.Multiple Performances done for this track, below one is one of my favourite Performances in terms of the Set, Concept and Theme. Actually due to lockdown in 2020 Abel's live performance got Postponed. As an alternative he did Virtual Performance hosted by TikTok. The video concept is developed in such a way Live singing performance will be done from the studio matching the Virtual Concert Performance Graphicsin TikTok app; this is the execution idea. Weeknd bought the Virtual theme to Real time performance with the Background Fire works in New York City. Check the below Video.  

NFL SUPERBOWL 2021 :

I will just narrate on a very Brief note why NFL Performance is a Game changer.

Basically NFL is an Sports event (National Foot Ball League) like our IPL. Every Artist wants to Perform at that Event to market himself by presenting the line up of the best songs made, to reach more audience.It's not an Good or Best Stage but Its the Freaking Event to showcase yourself infront of Millions people across the Western nations and Targeted Global Audience.

Coming to The Weeknd's Performance at NFL Pepsico Super Bowl 2021. The Best thing about Weeknd is the Vision he want to achieve and the Journey towards it grabbing every Opportunity he can.

Super Bowl Performances Started in  90's era, where the Legends like MJ, Diana Rose and many great artists Performed.

Lets see the Journey to the Super Bowl Performance by Weeknd, As due this COVID there is much suspense from the majority of people, on who is going to perform at super bowl with the Crowd Restrictions and Complicated situations. "AFTER HOURS" paved the bridge for the Weeknd to snatch the Opportunity.

Any artist performing at SuperBowl gets paid for promoting the event with best possible choreographies, here Weeknd himself Invested 7 Million Dollars for the Set & Event, as he wants to make the dreams come true to tell the story through his vision.

Around 250 members worked for this event to create this Magnum Opus. Weeknd Particulary Selected majority of the Black people as his side dancers to help them within his possibilities. He used all of his creativity to bring his dreams to alive.The side dancers worn Masks as a part of the costume which is also an measure for COVID.

After the Show his Merchendise XO seen 30% increase in sales for his products and "Save your tears" song went to Top bypassing Blinding Lights. Over 50 Million People watched the performance in their televisions.  

Started with "Call Out my Name" Track, lined up with Starboy, The Hills and Finished with Blinding lights projecting the story he wants to narrate in the most spectacular way. In the middle when the track "I cant feel my face" while singing he goes into the Maze to create Dizzy affect as the song itself he written on the Narcotic Substances. That bit went Viral for MEME Content.

The ending part is a Goosebump Moment as he Transitioned between the Songs House of Balloons which he wrote when he was Homeless to the Biggest hit of the Year Blinding lights performing at Superbowl. If i Continue to write it takes so much content i need to make extra space continuing in the Part 2 about the weeknd. Lets conclude here.
